The White House Farm Animals

When I heard the story concerning the Kenyan young man wanting to give away farm animals in exchange for the United States president’s daughter’s hand in marriage I laughed my butt off. The story is more complicated than the simple articles found around the internet let us believe. What the young man is doing does not mean he’s exchanging animals for a human but simply using the animals as a way to say to Malia’s father (Obama); “I am serious and I am more than capable of taking care of your daughter so when the time comes think of me first”. Of course he never said this in any way other than indirectly imply this in a video he released not long ago.

In a sense it’s as if he does not realize that people with African origin living in America have little to no link with Africa to the point it’s rude and insulting to most Americans of African origin. Maybe he’s mistaking his situation, being from Kenya but living in the United Kingdom while he studies, maybe he feels that other Africans living outside Africa still have links to Africa as he does. Who knows, at the end, I wish him luck in his endeavours. For us, let us enjoy this mash-up image to remember this event. :)

Why Change The Name Of The Washington Redskins?

“Redskins means nothing to me as I have nothing against Natives so removing the Redskins name for the NFL team equals to stupidity for me and many others as well.”

The phrase you just read above is common among good intentioned people; in fact that line would be similar to what I would have said a few years ago. With time when someone really wants to become knowledgeable must also be able to walk in other peoples shoes as much as possible. Even if it is not possible to truly feel like another we can have a good idea, thus to achieve that feeling you must be able to think properly as well. Therefore, for some of you that still do not understand why it is important to change the name of the Washington Redskins let me explain it this way: Redskins for the majority of natives equals disparaging thoughts and they are right about it because they do not use this word amongst themselves in the first place because of the historical nature and use of the word. The word redskin is the same as other slurs against other races.

Imagine you are Italian and a team out there is called Washington Waps or if you are of African descent Washington Nigers or if a Jew Washington Bignoses. Better yet if you are white American what about the owner being black and they name their team Washington Crackers? You get the idea it is neither right nor fair and it has nothing to do with politically correctness but simple respect, understanding and letting go of things that do not have place in modern days.

There are also many natives who do not want to change the name of the Washington Redskins because it does not offend them, they say. But here is the deal with these people as I analyzed as much as possible these natives who are in favor of keeping the name and I found out often they are either; not on a reserve, poor thinkers thus not very bright people to start with, lives a life far away from anything related to native ways and finally many behave reminiscent of Stockholm syndrome to the point I feel they disgust their heritage.

You want to use something related to natives?

Try Washington Tomahawks, Natives, Warriors, Riders, Arrows, and Nomads just to name a few.

The key to good all around life and or success is being able to change, adapt, learn and realizing mistakes if there is one and not to be staunch about things you cannot even defend morally, logically or understand. When you try while being unable to defend your points you are automatically on the wrong side of history because the majority does try to live better on a daily basis and these little changes means a lot, especially for the ones involved here, the proud unashamed natives.

Change the Washington Redskins name and let us move forward fast.

When A Superstitious Mind Thinks Out Loud

The other day when I opened my regular news webpage I read a few funny lines, and here are the 3 to keep in mind;

– “USA might be responsible for cancers affecting Latin American leaders”
– “Would it be strange if they had developed the technology to induce cancer?”
– “difficult to explain using the law of probabilities”

chavez_cancer_fairy_duster

All these sentences were made by Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, a beautiful and capable country, north of Brazil in South America.

Hugo Chavez did say he was thinking out loud and not accusing per say, subsequently I have to give him that freedom, so go ahead and think aloud Mr Chavez. But does Mr Chavez understand the implication of the words and sentences he uses and says? Why would a president make a remark of such size with no pedestal?

How can a president, a leader with no military investigation or backup, no proof whatsoever, talk about the possibility that another country may be giving cancer to leftist leaders? These are pure child level play, and no one questions? He is not retired, not part of a book he is writing, not making a comment after a factual case, he’s just thinking aloud at an international level, that’s all, without even thinking of the repercussions?

When Chavez says the USA can potentially build or use such technology, did he ever think the USA could have built easier killing devices or use better astute? Why cancer? Why not invent something that is sure to kill? Cancer nowadays can be defeated on a regular basis, all depending on the cancer type, but since not all were affected by the same cancer, making these types of killing astute even less likely as we have now at least 2 types of research to complete, as each cancer acts and defends itself differently. But at the end, one should also ask; why would the USA spend time, effort and money into a method that is so unreliable? Probability wise, sending someone physically would have a greater chance of murdering one of these leaders.

And since we are talking of leaders, what kind of leader is Chavez? By stating this untactful and illusory statement, he creates a feeling of mistrust within is own circle, did he ever think about this one? The possibility that someone very close to these leaders is doing actions of installing or triggering cancer is in mind. Because how can you explain all leaders having cancers and no one else around them being affected, this means pin point targeting, thus inside job theory becomes plausible to a greater extent.

Nevertheless, how can the USA or any other nation out there achieve multiple infiltrations at this HIGH LEVEL at the “same time period”, while administrating something having little to no chance of succeeding, again, the question remains; why do all that research and preparation, with the amazing luck in achieving total infiltration synchronisation, to perform a “perhaps” kill?

But is this the only question we should ask ourselves to escape foolishness? Not yet, my true question would be this; Why South American leaders? As far as I am concerned and with all my thoughts and military assessments, including plot theories with other far nations, I just cannot see the priority, it’s that simple. Because priority is directed by concerns, while we do have to be careful how some of these leaders are and act, especially Chavez, at the end they pose no true immediate concerns to the point of killing an entire leftist clan, especially not with present leaders, with their will and capabilities, including Chavez, which he can be quite rational, believe it or not. But I also think the pentagon is doing well concerning South America, which is none lethal pressure, I just cannot see otherwise.

When does the USA kill foreign state leaders? When was the last time you heard of a slaughtered, poisoned or dead from cancer leaders? I think some of these latest revolutions around the world produced such metaphor, don’t you think? Dead leaders, be it by cancer or mysterious deaths do not come often in the news, do they? And if we take Chavez’s sentence; “difficult to explain using the law of probabilities”, then we can say the same about the possible probabilities of such coincidence, as it is possible due to the improbability of probabilities itself. Discrediting the very fact it is possible, shows that one does not understand the “laws of probabilities” to start with. For me, it is the same as saying it is too complicated to be the work of a blind man, non sense.

And above all, let’s not forget all of those who did not get cancer and are leftists in power and friends of Chavez, what about them? And to not be confused with old age cancer possibilities, lifestyle is also to be considered, remember being a politician is not necessarily good for ones health, as we know cancer do have tendencies to affect nutrient defective bodies, not a rule but some type do get triggered by low “substance-X” or even the opposite, being triggered by “higher” substance-X, anyway this can get quite complicated and not for this topic.

Ultimately, Chavez’s theory could easily be shut down by saying; show me proof, show me the dead bodies and show me the dead body of Castro and other higher priority leaders that are still alive!

(To take note, the Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner did not have cancer after all; news agencies reported today, January 7 2012)

Boxing Day Collateral Damage

This time what makes the news by surprise is actually a murder reporting case in London, UK; on days supposedly sacred in a sense. Aren’t the vast majority still religious in England? Aren’t you all supposed to behave? What is wrong with you people? Why can’t there be respect? Why can’t these stores be prepared for such events? Why open doors like gates retaining animals? Why can’t there be a numbering system for these days alone? Why isn’t police presence augmented “seriously” enough to sway these possible actions? This is not something new, this has been going on for years now, so do not tell me no one saw it coming. The difference is that with years, people do start to realize how these days are in general, thus tension mounts each year naturally, as people start to go to these shopping sprees with a pre-winded mind.

In the United States same story, again a spike in violence, but what is new on this side of the continent? Not much, same old crap different year.

Here in Canada one of the worst things that happened is a bunch of shoppers got egged while waiting inline outside a store, most probably done by someone opposed to capitalism or other elements. Either case, it is still mean for any entity to act as such, it is stupid and above all has no meaning whatsoever. Instead, if you have a message, write it down, pass it on as flyers, some will read, some may give you right, but with these types of actions you go nowhere other than possibly jail. Technically speaking it is pure violence since an egg shell can actually render someone blind, are some of you that unintelligent? Oh Canada!

Welcome To Manhattan

This summer when we were coming back from Florida we side stepped towards New York. For me it was the first time I saw New York up close, and I was pleased and upset at the same time. It reminds me of my own Canadian city Montreal, where things are cold at look due to the ugly coloring of the bricks, broken roads and sidewalks, but above all extremely dirty and dilapidated at the WRONG place. With this funny edit I underline one of them. ;)

After Thanksgiving – Shootings And Pepper-Spray Bonanza

I will not say much about what happened in the USA, for me, when it reaches the point where and entire nation see a spike in crime for a particular event, it says all.

You can argue me, hate me, but nothing changes that too many Americans are driven by objects.
Hand fight, shootings, knifing, and pepper spray all goes up on these days, but why? It’s not the media exceptionally reporting more on this day, it is the numbers with the police force that do all the talk, year after year. I feel sorry for the innocents near by.

Just imagine, some are ready to shoot and potentially kill for a discount?

My Philadelphia Flyers Wish For The Cup And a Cheesesteak

flyers_season_start_2011-20121

The Philadelphia Flyers made some moves this summer that leave me with uncertainties. However things seem to be working out fine since the pre season games started and the two games so far in the official schedule. It is not the fact that they almost wiped out the team composition, but more for the fact that we now have “yet again” feel as if the Flyers does not have what it takes, right off the bat. First off, I have to say goalie wise we are fine. The young Sergei Bobrovsky together with Ilya Bryzgalov is perhaps the best purposely built tandem in a very long time for the Flyers. The fact that this summer the Flyers went and got the veteran goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, clearly shows the organization is trying to help the young Russian with a veteran NHL Russian goaltender. Each of Bobrovsky’s game this year will be a better learning moment since he will have a comrade along the way. As opposed to the other year where his low English level did not help somewhere in the equation, like slight diminished self-confidence. Let’s not forget, a player, just like a physician, an iron worker or the simple delivery boy, can all be affected by inner or outside elements. In other words the more one is appeased the better it performs, therefore I believe Sergei Bobrovsky will have a better year solely on the fact he can now lean on a compatriot. For second, we haven’t lost Brière, Hartnell and Laperriere, and this is good news since they are such impact players. As for the rest I am not satisfied and or do not know the new players enough to comment. So I am left with a brand new team and little to recognize. I am exceptionally disappointed about still having to see that aging, slow poke dinosaur around; I am talking about the Canadian defensemen Chris Pronger. I was able to see my first Flyers game of the official season, Flyers Vs Devils. It will be remembered with a shutout, 3-0 for the Flyers, with a performance along the same line as the pre-season games. I guess they are fine and we just have to let them play and see in mid season what all the reshuffling meant. If they fail again to put a “cup team” together the dreadful brunt will come by many. I can make a prediction or two; the first is that this season the Flyers will do more shutouts than previous years, which last year was not hard to beat since they outputted zero shutout. This year they will make more goals per game average than previous years and finish first or second in their conference. But the latter is not hard to predict since the Flyers is one of the very few teams, where season after season is matched by acceptable to high performance. But this year we want more, the CUP!!!

Cosmi’s Deli delight!

The picture above was taken on my way home to Montreal, when returning from my vacation in Florida. When I go to Florida or come back, traffic or not on the I-95, I always make sure I can pass by the Spectrum II (Wells Fargo center) and make my little naïve wish for the cup! Having time on our hands, we stopped for a Cheesesteak. The image below shows Cosmi’s Deli place, of course the location seems blah! But the location is actually a signature call for almost assured quality and authenticity of genuine Italian food, including the world famous Philly Cheesesteak or Cheese-steak. Depends how you want to write it down, but to me it all sounds the same, delicious and another Italo-American invention pride! Located in South Philadelphia, home of a substantial Italian population, it makes only sense we find a deli among so many others. But no matter how many deli’s there are around, Cosmi’s Deli is one of the brightest star. Their cheesesteaks can be compared to a torpedo running silent, when it hits you, devastation. Smooth and homogeneous while biting into it, all flavours can be deciphered nonetheless, and none is unpleasant. The bread is of match for the type, the bread is merely a vessel for the torpedo!!! If you want to try one of the pinnacles of Cheesesteak making, I suggest Cosmi’s Deli located at 1501 S. 8th Street, Philadelphia. Their hours are Monday trough Saturday, 10am to 9pm and on Sunday’s 11am to 7pm. My favorite is the mushroom pepper and onions Cheesesteak. Buon appetito! www.cosmideli.com
